CURRENT VACANCIES

Sous Chef (£25-32k per annum depending on experience)

Restaurant 23 is seeking an experienced Sous currently working in a Rosette kitchen, or indeed a junior Sous that has demonstrable ambition. For the right candidate, the role offers considerable flexibility and in addition to the core remit will include:

  • Menu development responsibilities
  • Assessment and response to guest feedback in our menus
  • Collaboration on food/drink combinations with our craft cocktail bar tenders
  • Innovating processes to maximise efficient kitchen operations
  • Running the kitchen in Chef's absence
  • Team training and mentoring
  • Ensuring high standards are delivered consistently

Chef de Partie - Pastry (£17.5-19.5k per annum)

We are seeking a Demi Chef de Partie or Chef de Partie with a good understanding of Pastry. There is considerable opportunity to extend and develop your skills with the role being:

  • Organising and setting up the Pastry section
  • Menu development under the guidance of our Sous and Executive Chef
  • Managing and training any demi-chef de parties or commis working with you
  • Awareness of portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
  • Opportunities to assist in other areas of the kitchen
  • Opportunities for client interaction

Runner (£7.50/hour)

We are seeking a Runner to work around 12 hours a week on Fridays and Saturdays with occasional other days. This role would suit students looking for evening work and no prior experience is necessary::

  • Running food from the kitchen to restaurant
  • Polishing cutlery and crockery ahead of and during Service
  • Assisting the waiters where necessary
